  1. Open Microsoft CRM
  2. Select the Workplace Area
  3. Select Reports from the menu on the left. You should see a list of reports.

  4. Click the New button on the toolbar above the reports grid.
  5. Select Existing file from the Report Type drop down list.
  6. Click Browse and Select an existing rdp report file.
  7. Optional : Microsoft CRM will automatically fill in the name of the report based on the file name but you can enter your own in the Name text box.
  8. Optional : In the administration tab you will find radio buttons labelled next to Viewable By. Select who you want to be able to view this report.
  9. Click Save and Close and Microsoft CRM will publish the report.

 

Downloading and Updating an existing report

  1. Open Microsoft CRM
  2. Select the Workplace Area
  3. Select Reports from the menu on the left. You should see a list of reports.
  4. Select an existing report.
  5. Click Edit Report in the toolbar
  6. The report properties dialog will appear.
  7. From here you may do two things.

Downloading

  1. Select the Actions menu from the toolbar
  2. Click Download report.
    The rdl report file will be downloaded. You can then edit it in visual studio.

Updating

  1. Click the Browse button and select the updated rdl report file.
  2. Click Save and Close
    The report will be updated with the selected rdl file.
